Today I lead the blacks. Fighting for the laws to change and for Rosa Parks being arrested.She was arrested because of not giving up her seat to a white person. So then the driver told the police. Parks did not gave up her seat because she thinks it's no fair and racist for blacks giving u their seat just by skin colour. She was brave and I will help her and myself finishing our dreams.
Since they arrested her I knew I had to stand up for her. So I held a non-violent protest for whites to change the law. But our people had suffered a lot. A lot of bullying by citizens or white people. Whites talking behind our backs and pointing. Police send out dogs to hunt us down. It was really unfair that we didn't do any violent actions but they did. Children wanted to go to parks, but blacks weren't allowed to enter.
Blacks said it wasn't fair for them to use violence, but I told them no matter what we can't use violence. The goal was not to defeat or humiliate the opponent but rather to win him or her over to understanding new ways to create cooperation and community.
My house was on fire, but I won't stop until laws are changed for the blacks. Being bombed doesn't really make me weak. It just makes whites feel more happy of seeing our sad faces so we can stop the protest. I just hope to see the happy faces in blacks and white together.
