I am a student from Hong Kong, I've learned about you in PRS lessons. We have discussed about how you were an inspirational leader to a lot of people or how unfair the laws were to black people.
One day, Rosa Parks was arrested because of not giving up her seat to a white person in the bus. Then you held a non-violent protest for the black people. Police used dogs to attack you people, but you still didn't give up. The boycott continued for 381 days. All of you got hurt and bullied in public. Segregation separated you all.
Not allowed to go to parks, and other things. Black people didn't take public transport anymore. After the boycott, the law has changed. You had your house on fire though during the boycott, which could have killed your family.
If it weren't for you and Parks braveness, people would be bullied, beat up... Laws were changed. Your protest was no harm, but white people are the harm. I don't really understand why people are so racist that they have to make up this segregation law. Like colour doesn't matter. We're all equal.
Sincerely ,
Melody Lo
